English - read a book by Michael Murpugo - not Kensuke's Kingdom.
If you do not have a book by him, you could go to the library, or carry out some research about Michael Murpurgo as an author.
Bring into school any Michael Murpugo books you have as he is the author we will focus on during book week.

We thought you would like to see some of the wonderful Year 4 handwriting produced in our handwriting focus week recently.  We also thought you would enjoy viewing some of the children's symbols that they have designed as part of their RE work.

Complete your diary booklet each day of the half-term using connectives (because, whilst, if, besides, however, therefore, although).
Read a newspaper identifying key features of newspaper text. (It would be good to bring it in the first Monday back).
Complete the division calculations from the sheet that you didn't do in class.
Enjoy the snow!

This week in class we are focussing on improving our handwriting. This will help us to produce neat legible work and help us to write smoother and quicker so writing is more enjoyable.
Please could you ensure children have fully stocked pencil cases: 2 writing pencils, black handwriting pen, ruler, rubber, sharpener, coloured pencils and a glue stick.
